The colorimetric detection of gases is completed using chem cassette technology. The gas detection uses a tape that is designed to change colors when it is exposed to a specific chemical. The larger the concentration of the gas, the larger the resulting changes in color.
Colorimetric gas detection is optimal for several types of gas detection. These detectors are commonly used for arsine and phosphine, which are common gases in vapor deposition applications. They are also commonly used for HF and ammonia monitoring.
These sensors must be configured as part of a sample draw system. The sensors are installed in an enclosure. The atmosphere to be sampled is brought to the enclosure with a pump.
Ino-Tek has experience with this technology and can propose appropriate colorimetric gas detection technology for any specific application.
